Two Weeks Home!

We have been home for two weeks now and finally seem to be over jet lag, although I am destined not to get a good night's sleep because now the baby has decided to wake up during the night, after previously sleeping through the night.

Packing up!

I am packing up our stuff because tomorrow we head to Hong Kong and then fly to Boston on Wednesday. We have had a great trip, but I will be happy to be home. Sarah is really starting to show her personality. She loves to have fun and throw things! She laughs a lot and is happy most of the time, except when I don't feed her quick enough. She stamps her feet and screams until I give her food. Yikes!! Here are a couple of pictures!

Things I've Learned in China

Well, I have learned a lot of things while being here. Number one is that I am a horrible blogger. Sorry folks! Number two is that trying to work while here was a horrible idea. Sorry, work folks! There are many more, but I won't go into them now.

We are in Guangzhou. Today will be sight-seeing and some shopping. Being the shopper that I am, it is exciting for me!!

I have been unable to post due to technology issues.  All is going ok. We walked into The Galactic Peace Hotel in Nanchang on Monday morning around 11 AM and there she was. I didn't faint or anything as I thought I might!! Hard to imagine that I am really getting a baby after waiting 6 years.

The baby is crying when we put her down and other than that, she is completely silent. I am sure that her personality will come out soon, once the shock of being taken away from everything she knows wears off a bit.

More Beijing

First thing this morning we headed to a Christian church service. It was interesting and only open to foreigners who speak English. After church, we went to a jade factory, where I bought bracelets for the girls. After the jade factory we went to lunch and then to the Great wall. It was a very steep section, so we didn't climb too long. We are exhausted a lot of the time because we sleep odd hours. Tomorrow is baby day!!

Touring Beijing

Today we went to Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City. We are getting a big kick out of the locals wanting to take pictures with us, since Caucasians are a novelty here. Madison has done lots of posing, as well as my sister, Tricia. Very funny! We also went to a Pearl Factory and the Summer Palace. We are all messed up on sleep, so went straight back to the hotel after touring.

Tomorrow we are off to The Great Wall!!

We made it to Beijing!

We are safe and sound in our hotel room. Very exhausted from the preparations and then the long flight. The economy plus seating helped with the leg room during the flight, but it was still way too long!

We are just relaxing now. I think I am going to venture to the Walmart-like store and look around.
